I’ve been wandering around china town and picked up a goat hair brush and some rice paper and had a bit of a play with both.

Got silly inspired by rocks at the Natural History Museum and so started to make some sketches for some watercolours. But I kind of enjoyed how this one came out in pen and ink. It’s Sodalite with calcium strands and hopefully the start of an interesting series.
I have a piece up in this exhibition by Beddow ‘n’ Battini! Opening on December 1st!

I saw a bluejay on the way home and wanted to paint a little something. Slowly returning back to the lace bird series. This one was using watercolours which were extremely difficult to control! Not sure if I’ll use them again for this…
EDIT: Thankyou Joey Fells - on the hunt to finding out what it was now- but the bird above is of a bluejay after I got the urge to draw a blue bird after seeing this mystery one…
Recent commissions for a family in Chelsea that I met through my job at the art shop. A big difference from my usual stuff!
